Please meet out at the Shuttle in front of Scheman Building front entrance by 3:15 pm.
A Shuttle will take you to the food sciences building and back.
At the end of the tour there is a chance to purchase ice cream.

Come visit the Creamery in Ames on the historic Iowa State University campus. Find us on the second floor of the Food Sciences Building, room number 2955. We are excited to teach you about the creamery! Below is a general outline of our tour. ISU Creamery Employees will lead this tour:
1) The shuttle will drop you by the large soybean at the east entrance inside the Food Sciences Building.
2) Visit the courtyard to discuss the history of the ISU Creamery.
3) Visit the micro-creamery to learn how we make ice cream and cheese.
4)Visit the retail store to learn about our student staff and the opportunity for guests to purchase products in the store.

A tour of the Ames Lab and/or the Student Innovation Center.

This tour will meet @ 10:00 am at the front entrance to Scheman Building and board a shuttle to take the tours.

On this tour, you have an opportunity to tour 2 different things:

Student Innovation Center
The Student Innovation Center is the heart of creativity and collaboration at Iowa State University.
You will tour the Makerspaces in the building throughout your tour such as:
Metal and Wood ShopCutting-edge woodworking and metalworking machinery.
Room 1211
Paint and Finishing ShopVentilated paint booth, with tables to finish projects.
Room 1221
Electronics, Textiles, and 3D Printing ShopA variety of textile machines, soldering stations, 3D printers and laser cutters.
Room 2222
Digital Modeling and Visualization LabAdvanced AR and VR hardware with powerful software programs.
Room 2261
Composites ShopWorkspace equipped for the fabrication of composite materials.

Ames National Laboratory Tour
Ames National Laboratory is one of the U.S. Department of Energy’s 17 National Laboratories, but is the only one physically located on the campus of a major public research university. By entering any Ames National Laboratory facility, visitors agree to abide by our policies and procedures to ensure the safety of everyone visiting or working at the Laboratory.
