This tour will meet @ 10:00 am at the front entrance to Scheman Building and board a shuttle to take the tours.
On this tour, you have an opportunity to tour 2 different things:
Student Innovation CenterThe Student Innovation Center is the heart of creativity and collaboration at Iowa State University.
You will tour the Makerspaces in the building throughout your tour such as:
Metal and Wood ShopCutting-edge woodworking and metalworking machinery.
Room 1211Paint and Finishing ShopVentilated paint booth, with tables to finish projects.
Room 1221Electronics, Textiles, and 3D Printing ShopA variety of textile machines, soldering stations, 3D printers and laser cutters.
Room 2222Digital Modeling and Visualization LabAdvanced AR and VR hardware with powerful software programs.
Room 2261Composites ShopWorkspace equipped for the fabrication of composite materials.
